Bronfenbrenner in the Age of AI
Neo-ecological theory provides a developmental lens for understanding how artificial intelligence shapes human experience, not as a tool to be managed, but as a genuine context for growth. I explore what it means for children, families, and communities to develop within AI-mediated environments, and what researchers, educators, and practitioners need to know to respond thoughtfully.
Theory-Backed Research Design
Bronfenbrenner's name appears in thousands of papers that never actually use his theory. I work with researchers on how to design studies that genuinely operationalize bioecological and neo-ecological theory, from selecting the right constructs to aligning methods with theoretical commitments, grounded in peer-reviewed work and built for practical application.
Raising Kids in a Digital World
What does developmental science actually say about children and screens? I translate current research on digital parenting, family technology dynamics, and adolescent development into language and insights that the people who raise and work with children can actually use.
